Love of Highlands

Experience the rustic elegance of farm life with our majestic Highland cattle told in the heart of Box Springs.

Meet the Hearts Behind the Farm

Our journey began with a shared reverence for the land and a deep admiration for the gentle, resilient nature of Highland cattle. For us, DMS Farm is more than just a business; it’s the culmination of a lifelong dream to foster a sanctuary where sustainable practices and heritage preservation go hand-in-hand. We believe that farming should be an act of stewardship. Every decision we make—from the way we rotate our pastures to the intentional care we provide our herd—is driven by our commitment to ethical agriculture and the well-being of our animals. We invite you to step into our world and experience the same peace and connection that we feel every morning on these Georgia hills.

A Dream That Led Us To Georgia

Welcome to DMS Farm Love of Highlands. We are David and Melissa Snead, the owners of DMS Farm. In May 2025, we moved to Georgia with the goal of building a life in the country and turning our long-held dream of owning a farm into reality.
We now live in Box Springs with our daughter Madison, who is 12 years old, and our two dogs, Kolby and Lola. Creating a family farm has always been important to us, and Highland cattle have held a special place in our hearts since we were younger.

Learning Before Building

Before starting our Highland cattle farm in Georgia, we focused on education and hands-on experience. We connected with established breeders, visited working farms, and studied proper care, feeding, and pasture management. Through consistent visits and direct guidance, we gained real-world knowledge that helped us confidently prepare for raising healthy Highland cattle of our own.

Building DMS Farm

Once we were ready, we began developing our family farm from the ground up. A barn was installed, secure fencing was completed, and our pasture was carefully prepared to create a safe and natural environment. Every detail was planned with intention — because a successful Highland cattle farm starts with thoughtful preparation and responsible care.

preparing to Welcome Visitors

After establishing our herd, we focused on preparing the farm for guests. Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and educational environment where visitors can meet our Highland cows and experience peaceful farm life. DMS Farm Love of Highlands is more than a cattle farm — it’s a family-run farm built on respect, transparency, and a genuine love for Highland cattle.
